Sevilla attacker and former Giallorossi player Erik Lamela was asked about his early years in the Italian capital as well as his memories of working with Jose Mourinho.
Only a few hours away from kick-off in Budapest, Lamela said in an interview with AS, “I have incredible memories of Rome and Roma.”
“It was my first club in Europe,” he added, recalling his spell in Italy between 2011 and 2013. “Roma was the club that brought me from South America and showed confidence in me. They were two wonderful years.”
“Since then I’ve changed a lot, I’m more professional, I take better care of myself and prepare games differently.”
“Mourinho? I have a good relationship with him. I spent some time with him in England and we had a very good time. He is a special, funny person, he conveys a lot to you and has always managed to lead his teams. A fantastic person, who knows how to lead the group.”
