Evan Ndicka discusses first impressions from Roma’s preseason

Roma defender Evan Ndicka spoke about his first impressions as a member of the Giallorossi during the team’s preseason.

In a recent interview with DAZN, Ndicka discussed the initial stages of his involvement in Roma’s preseason training camp in Portugal and the team’s objectives for the upcoming season.

“Roma are a great team, last year they came close to winning in Europe. We have every chance to do well both in Serie A and in the Europa League,” said the ex-Frankfurt defender.

“Mourinho? He gave me the impression of being a good person, very empathetic and I’m sure he will make me grow a lot.”

“I already knew Serie A before coming here, and I had heard of several Roma players, I often watched their games. So when they contacted me, it was a pleasure to accept Roma’s offer.”

“My objectives? First of all I hope to fit into the group as best I can. I will then set the goals over time, along the way. I want to do everything to help the team. I think that in a league with this type of team and players, I can grow a lot, both on and off the pitch.”

“I have come across a group of very experienced players, I hope to learn a lot from them. They’ve already won in Europe: it’s a group that already knows the keys to the game and knows how to win.”

“Dybala? In addition to being a great footballer, Dybala is an excellent person, we also exchanged a few words in these first few days and from what I could see he really has excellent technique. A great player indeed.”
