Roma defender Evan Ndicka shared insight from the team’s preseason.
The Ivorian centreback is on the verge of his second year in the Italian capital.
After today’s training session at St. George’s Park, Ndicka spoke to the gathered reporters about the Giallorossi’s progress in preseason.
”The sensations are good, we did a good job here and even before in Trigoria. We hope to be ready to start the season,” Ndicka said, according to LaRoma24.it.
”De Rossi is telling us to play higher up the pitch with and without the ball, and be more aggressive. For us defenders being aggressive is the norm.”
”The new arrivals? We help Le Fée, with whom I speak in French, and Soulé, for whom there are Dybala and Paredes. We have a good group and a good team, so it is easy to integrate. They are all good quality players and will help us a lot.”
”Dovbyk? I’ve trained against him a few times and he’s physically very strong,” added Ndicka.
“We are Roma and the goal is always to win because we are Roma,” he continued. “We work to get better every day.”
”Do I feel like a leader? The important thing is to always fight for the team.”
”The scare vs Udine? I was scared the following week after Udine’s game, it’s normal. I feel good now, mentally and physically. I’m not scared.”
