Good news for Roma defender Evan Ndicka.

The Ivorian centreback recently suffered a collapsed lung after what was initially suspected as a heart attack – the diagnosis ruled out this as a possibility and pointed to thoracic trauma instead.

According to Il Messaggero, Ndicka underwent more fitness tests with the supervision of Roma’s cardiologist.

The tests showed positive signs and the player has been given the green light to resume group training.

The newspaper suggests Ndicka is aiming to be called up for the match against Cagliari in the upcoming weekend round of Serie A fixtures.
