Roma defender Evan Ndicka is expected to be released from the hospital in Udine later today after suffering a collapse on the pitch during last night’s match with Udinese.
On Thursday evening, the Ivorian defender was rushed to the hospital where he underwent EKG tests that ruled out the possibility of a heart attack.
Ndicka spent the night in the hospital for further observation and showed steady progress in his recovery.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the player underwent more tests this morning and his condition was deemed stable enough to warrant the release from the hospital in the afternoon.
The 24-year-old will then make his return to the Italian capital.
