Roma defender Chris Smalling could be on his way out of the club, less than one year after completing a €15 million move to the Italian capital.
The Englishman is coming off a nightmare campaign after he appeared in only 21 matches in all competitions. He suffered five separate injuries throughout the course of the year, missing a total of thirty games.
Despite two years remaining on his contract, Roma and manager José Mourinho are willing to part with the 31 year-old this summer if they receive a fair transfer offer.
According to Sky Sport, Everton have made an inquiry for Smalling and are keen on his return to England.
