Everton join race for Wijnaldum, Roma remain favorites

After acquiring Paulo Dybala last week, Roma have their sights fixed on PSG midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum.

The Giallorossi have been in talks with the Parisians throughout the past week regarding a deal for the Dutch international, however, no agreement has yet been reached.

As a result, Premier League side Everton have registered their interest in the former Liverpool man, who’s eager to depart the club this summer.

Il Messaggero reports the Toffees are desperate to reinforce their midfield before the transfer window closes and they’ve indentified the 31 year-old as the ideal candidiate.

The Giallorossi are willing to acquire Wijnaldum permanently, however, his wages have so far proven to be a stumbling block to the deal.
