Ex-Inter defender Beppe Bergomi skeptical of Dybala’s potential fit at Roma

RomaPress Staff

Ex-Inter defender Beppe Bergomi, who’s currently a commentator with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport, weighed in on free agent Paulo Dybala’s club future.

After deciding to leave the Bianconeri, the Argentine has been linked with a free summer transfer to both Roma and Inter. Though, Bergomi is skeptical Dybala would be a good fit under Roma boss Jose Mourinho.

“Roma need a target man like (Tammy) Abraham but they’ve also got playmakers like Zaniolo and Pellegrini already in the team,” he stated.

“It’d be difficult to put Dybala alongside these players. I don’t have anything against him, in fact I think he’s a very strong player.”

“He combines well with the striker, but it depends on the tactical shape you want to implement.”
