Following last night’s derby defeat, former Inter defender Giuseppe Bergomi sided with the Giallorossi whilst discussing the refereeing display by Davide Massa which eventually led to Ibanez being sent off in the second half.
“I didn’t expect a different game from Roma,” Bergomi said in an appearance on Sky Sport. “When Roma wins, we praise them for playing this way, so it wasn’t a big surprise to me.”
“Ibanez? In the moment he was shown the red card he did everything he could to get out of the way. I would have never been able to play with these referees,” said the legendary centreback.
