Former Inter president Massimo Moratti was asked to preview the upcoming match at San Siro between the Nerazzuri and Mourinho’s Roma. In particular, Moratti was asked about the Special One and his development since their years of working together at Inter.

“Mourinho is still the same after all this time,” Moratti told Centro Suono Sport. “He still has the same qualities: great professionalism and attention to details.”

“I can safely say that his ambition is to improve on last year’s record. He wants to do better in his second season in the capital,” he added.

“With me he never was insistent on making certain signings. He followed the club’s transfer business very closely, but we always worked together as a club.”

“Inter need a result because the last few games were difficult for Inzaghi’s men. Lukaku’s absence is weighing heavily because he is the most important player on the team,” he said, previewing this weekend’s match-up.

“I have the feeling that Inter have suffered last season’s blow to their confidence: there is disappointment around the team. Roma are definitely better off and want to find continuity. They are a fun team and can surprise everyone.”
