Former Lazio attacker Felipe Caicedo – now playing for Saudi Arabian club Abha – recalled his experience in the Italian capital and, among other things, scoring in the derby with Roma and competing for the Scudetto in 2020.
“I miss Lazio very much, it’s the team I loved the most, and it’s my home. I hope to come back one day, I miss the environment, I miss my teammates, I miss the city,” he told Radiosei.
“I have lots of memories from my time there, including that goal against Roma. That’s the greatest moment of my career. It was a unique moment, I remember the packed stadium, it was pretty incredible. I remember when I made that joke about the Scudetto at the Christmas dinner. I really believed it, but not only me. We were confident, but the pandemic held us back.”
