Former Milan and Italy technician Arrigo Sacchi did not sound too enthusiastic about Roma’s 2-1 win at the San Siro. Sacchi claimed the match followed too slow of a rhythm and neither of one of the teams deserved a positive result.
“At a certain moment I had to ask myself, is anyone going to do something in this match?” Sacchi told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “Both teams set up a defensive bloc and defended the ball with eight men. That’s hard to label as a spectacle.”
“I think neither one of these two teams deserved to win. I don’t like these games. Too much tactics, very little excitement.”
“Mourinho’s team especially – they have too much quality to be playing this brand of football,” Sacchi concluded in disappointment.
