The latest rumors from Portugal are linking Roma boss Jose Mourinho with a potential switch as Brazil’s next coach following Tite’s recent exit.

According to former Porto player Carlos Alberto – who together with the Special One won the Champions League in 2004 as well as the Portuguese league – stated in an interview with Mundo GV that Mourinho is reportedly closing in on becoming Brazil’s future technician.

“Let me say it directly,” Alberto prefaced. “Perhaps Mourinho will be Brazil’s new coach. This is a news I’m publicly reporting,” he added.

“He’s also asked me to work as his assistant,” Carlos declared.
