Former Roma and Napoli attacker Daniel Fonseca – who represented Giallorossi colours for three years between 1994 and 1997 following a two-year spell at Napoli in 1992-94 – spoke about the upcoming showdown at the Stadio Olimpico between Jose Mourinho’s men and Spalletti’s team.
“Napoli are heavy favourites, they are currently living the dream,” Fonseca told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “But Roma shouldn’t be underestimated.”
“Spalletti right now is probably the best manager in Italy. I mean, have you seen Napoli play? They’re devastating. A beautiful team to watch.”
“Mourinho? He’s number one, in that there is no one like him. He’s great, he’s won everything and the players follow him because of his charisma which is so hard to find these days. Who wouldn’t like to be coached by Mou?”
“I also love Zaniolo. He’s a force of nature, an explosive player whom I would have loved to see perform in the World Cup.”
