Former Roma manager Eusebio Francesco praised Jose Mourinho for his ability to recreate enthusiasm among Giallorossi fans, leading them to two consecutive European finals.
In a recent interview with Tuttomercatoweb, Di Francesco said, “Mourinho put the Roma environment back together.”
“Perhaps he could have done more in the league but I think they have focused a lot on Europa League.”
“He proved to be an excellent technician and gave back the spark to a city I experienced first-hand, qualifying to a Champions League semi-final and I must say that if there had been VAR maybe we would be talking about something else.”
