Ex-Roma boss Rudi Garcia talks about OM’s Kamara

Former Roma boss Rudi Garcia was recently interviewed by La Gazzetta dello Sport where he was asked to share his thoughts on 22-year-old Giallorossi target for January, Boubacar Kamara.

“He’s a good guy and an important footballer, one of those I was very fond of during my time at Marseille.”

“With Kamara I also helped out to make him have his first professional contract, just as many great European clubs had set his sights on him.”

“Bouba was born a defender, but I saw him better as a midfielder, because he has technical quality, he is good at the “long” game and is one who also has cold blood, always knows how to reason in the middle of the field and make the best decision at the right time.”

“As a defender, however, it seems to me that he lacks a few centimetres and also a little speed to play for two.”

“Kamara is a player of great perspective. He’s good at countering opponents, because he’s also strong in duels. He can recover many balls and sees the game well. In short, for me he is a perfect regista.”
