Former Roma manager Zdeněk Zeman – with whom José Mourinho had had some heated exchanges in the past – once again sounded critical of the Special One’s work at the capital club.
“Mourinho leading Roma to the Conference League final is a sign of the low level of this competition,” he told Rai Radio 1.
“It’s a low level competition for underdeveloped footballing nations. I think Barcelona were in it but decided to crash out,” he mistakingly said as Barcelona crashed out of the Europa League earlier this year.
On Mourinho, Zeman continued, “Mourinho has won with teams where others before him had already won, except for Porto. I think that’s the easy way.”
