Former Roma player Federico Fazio reflected on his years in the Italian capital.
The Argentine centreback played for Roma between 2017 and 2022, collecting 169 appearances for the Giallorossi and scoring 14 goals and 3 assists.
In an interview with TVPlay, Fazio analyzed his time at Roma and shared insights from his years of playing alongside Daniele De Rossi.
“I had a great time in Rome, I learned a lot,” said the veteran defender.
“It was nice to play with Sevilla, Tottenham and with Roma and Salernitana,” he added.
“As soon as I arrived in Rome I discovered that Daniele De Rossi is a very good person from a human point of view. And then when you spend time with him inside the locker room you understand that he is one of the best players at reading the game and the opponent.”
“He is always there to help you, he is a leader. I think I’ve never had a partner like that in my career,” he continued.
“I spoke a lot with him when he finished his career at Boca and left Roma and when he was looking for a team as a coach. I am very pleased that he is doing well at Roma, he deserves it.”
