Former Roma defender and loyal servant of the club, Philippe Mexes, sent a special message to newly appointed head coach Daniele De Rossi.
The two shared the dressing room throughout Mexes’ lengthy stay in the Italian capital between 2004 and 2011 and became close friends.
“I wish you well, Daniele,” Mexes said in a message via Retesport. “I know you’re busy. I’m thinking of you and the whole team. I hope everything will go as well as you want it to.”
“If you need a hand in defense, I’m there for you and can come off the bench. Jokes aside, whatever you may need, I’m there. You have my number, I will try to stop by Trigoria to say hello, a big hug and always Forza Roma.”
