Former Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini – currently working to avoid relegation with his new side, Salernitana – spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport ahead of Inter’s Champions League clash with Liverpool, a big match featuring two important players, namely Edin Dzeko and Mohammed Salah, whom Sabatini brough to the Italian capital in 2015.
“Being able to sign two players like them made me love my job even more,” said Sabatini.
“It is true that they had their own little moments of utter selfishness, but then they integrated very well with the rest of the team.”
He concluded with, “That’s why not having won anything with the two of them is the biggest regret of my career.”
