Former Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini spoke about José Mourinho’s team and the future that awaits after winning the Conference League.
“I think they will make a qualitative leap again, Mourinho has already done an exceptional job for the club: he has taught them to treat victory not as a possibility but as a necessity,” he told Tuttosport.
“He snatched so many successes at the last minute because he shoved the winning mentality into the heads of his players.”
“If they won’t lose Abraham, they can continue to grow: Roma has taken a very positive path with Mourinho.”
On Matić, Sabatini commented, “I wanted him badly at Palermo. It’s a big regret of mine. If Mourinho wanted him, it means he’s in good condition.”
