Yesterday’s announcement of Morgan De Sanctis’ departure from the club after eight years in the capital caught everyone by surprise.
The Italian director, who was recently in charge of the youth sector, stepped away from Roma’s project in order to gain more experience elsewhere, reports Il Messaggero.
According to the newspaper, De Sanctis has reportedly several offers on the table.
Although his main objective is to work as a sporting director or general manager, the former Roma player has also received offers from Ascoli in Serie B, as well as Milan and Bologna entailing more co-operative work.
De Sanctis’ time with the Giallorossi is rumored to have come to an end due to the recent appointment of Vincenzo Vergine as responsible for the youth sector.
