After completing his move to Ibiza, Brazilian shot-stopper Daniel Fuzato took the time to thank Roma and pay tribute to the four years he spent in the Italian capital following his transfer in 2018 from Palmeiras.
“The four years I spent at Roma were special,” he told Tuttomercatoweb. “I arrived a teenager and left as a man. Now I have to play and grow as a footballer.”
“I think Ibiza were the perfect choice for that. It’s an ambitious project where I can grow.”
When asked about whether he had any regrets, the 24-year-old shook his head. “Not at all. I grew up in a locker room full of champions. I owe everything to Roma, and I wish them the very best.”
“I have no regrets, I came to Roma to be the third-choice goal-keeper. Being able to fill in as second-choice was a nice experience and I gave my all whenever I was given the chance to play.”
“I always rooted for Roma and I leave behind a family rather than a team.”
