Former Roma goal-keeper Julio Sergio shared his insight on the club’s plans to acquire Brazilian forward Marcos Leonardo.
Leonardo – rumored to be Roma’s main target for the January window – continues to be a sensation in Julio Sergio’s home country.
In an interview with TvPlay, the ex-Roma shot-stopper said, “Marcos Leonardo knows how to score goals, he is very capable in front of goal. To get to Italy he may have to learn a lot of things on a tactical level, but he is an intelligent boy. He is 175cm, he is not very tall, but he has technical quality and can be a great alternative for Roma.”
“This is a deal that can go through in January,” added Sergio. “I know Santos’ executive very well and I have talked to Roma’s Tiago Pinto about it. Perhaps Roma will sign him in January or July.”
