Former Roma goal-keeper Julio Sergio was asked about the concerning situation of Rui Patricio whose performances declined this season.
In an interview with Sportpaper TV, the ex-Giallorossi shot-stopper said, “The goalkeeper must have the right mindset, and Patricio is an expert, he knows how to do his job. It is true that Rome is a particular place in terms of pressure, but he must do his part and help the team reach its goal: the Champions League.”
“I think Svilar deserves more trust, Roma need options in goal. Rui Patricio is an expert, but we need a replacement. Svilar has to show what he is capable of, as it happened to me as a young keeper. So, I would trust him.”
