Former Roma fullback Ashley Cole weighed in on Daniele De Rossi’s surprising start to life as the Giallorossi’s head coach.
In an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb, Cole was asked about his ex-teammates new position at the capital club.
“I am following his progress,” said Cole, who played for Roma between 2014 and 2016. “I wish him the best.”
“I always knew he could become a good coach because he always understood football, and the dynamics of the locker room. It is very important to have an excellent relationship with fans and players, whether they are young or old.”
“He speaks excellent English, he taught me Italian, a wonderful guy, he deserves all the best in this new chapter in his life.”
