Former Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan could return to Italy in the upcoming January transfer window after being permanently excluded by Antwerp earlier in the month.
A few weeks ago, the 34 year-old was spotted smoking an e-cigarette on the bench ahead of the team’s 3-0 defeat to Standard Liege and was subsequently suspended indefinitely by the club.
In a recent interview with Het Nieuwsbald, Nainggolan discussed meeting with Monza director Adriano Galliani in Doha and hinted at a potential return to Serie A.
“I met Galliani in Qatar,” admitted the ex-Roma man. “He told me that if I want to continue playing without earning too much I can call him. I don’t want to stop and I want to find a solution soon, perhaps in January already.”
