Former Roma player and captain Alessandro Florenzi has been named in the recent illegal betting scandal in Italy.

Florenzi – now an AC Milan player following his permanent exit from Roma in 2022 – is reportedly involved in the betting scandal that saw the likes of Fagioli, Tonali and Zaniolo face similar allegations.

As reported by Leggo, Florenzi was also included in the list of suspects that will soon be investigated by the local authorities and the Prosecutor’s Office.

If guilty, Florenzi could also be suspended or fined as the accusations are exactly the same as for the other aforementioned players.
