Former Roma midfielder David Pizarro – one of the Giallorossi’s best players in Luciano Spalletti’s first spell – expressed his wish for Jose Mourinho to stay.
Amid rumours of Mourinho’s possible exit from the club this coming summer, Pizarro discussed the Special One’s impact on the capital club.
“I hope he stays,” Pizarro told Corriere dello Sport. “José promised the fans that in the third year of his tenure he would try to win the Scudetto.”
“I realise that he wants to follow up on his words, although it is clear that his team needs at least three more champions to achieve this goal.”
