Former Roma midfielder Nemanja Matic is once again at the center of rumors following an apparent falling out with Rennes.
The latest news from France suggest Matic – who departed Roma after only one season in a hectic transfer that saw him join Rennes on 2-year deal in the final weeks of the summer transfer window – experienced another falling out with his current club.
According to French journalist Mohamed Toubache-Ter, Matic quit the team’s WhatsApp group and emptied his locker as a sign of protest following several weeks of tension with the club’s management.
As a result of this falling out, Lyon approached Rennes and made two offers for the Serbian midfielder but Rennes refused, on principle.
