Ex-Roma player Vincent Candela: “I don’t know whether Roma will ever have a fullback as skilled as I was.”

Former Roma player Vincent Candela spoke to Il Messaggero where he discussed Nicola Zalewski filling in for Spinazzola and the upcoming Conference League final.

“Roma after me had very good full-backs like Spinazzola and Kolarov,” he said.

“I really like Zalewski, he is not afraid, he takes risks, which is now a rare phenomenon in football. I only see players sending the ball back to the keeper.”

“But,” he added, “I don’t know whether Roma will ever have a fullback as skilled and technical as I was.”

On the final in Tirana Candela said, “Of course I’ll be watching and we’ll win. Mourinho is my guarantee.”
