Former Roma president Rosella Sensi discussed at length the impact of Jose Mourinho on the capital club, as well as the Friedkins’ work so far after two years since they took ownership of the Giallorossi.

“As an opponent, Mourinho made us suffer a lot,” she told TG Sport while recounting the days of the heated rivalry between Roma and Mourinho’s Inter. “Now I am very happy that he is our coach, happy with the satisfactions he is giving us, not least the victory of the Conference League.”

“I was in Tirana to see the game. Mourinho is a great coach, he involves the supporters, he is a leader through and through. He will surely pass this on to the boys in the locker room as well, regardless of any result that may seem less satisfying. This team has character and it is Mou who transmits it.”

“Right now I am very happy to be represented by an American family like the Friedkins, who are great investors. Not every foreign investor is capable of handling an Italian club like them.”

“De Rossi at SPAL? I have always thought that De Rossi could become a great coach due to his personality and his determination.”

“He was always been a leader in the locker room along with his other teammates. Even when he came to communicate something to me, he always approached me decisively and always imposed his will in a very determined way.”
