Former Roma sporting director Gianluca Petrachi once again commented his experience in the Italian capital in a recent interview where he also discussed James Pallotta’s ownership and the future of Nicolo Zaniolo.
“I wanted to work for Roma because its environment had always fascinated me,” he told TMW Radio.
“In their own way, both Torino and Roma are emotionally strong clubs, filled with passion,” he added.
“At Roma I didn’t have anyone to help me make the club grow and if you don’t have a strong ownership that supports you, you are bound to fail.”
“In times of difficulty I often found myself exposed. My work has always pushed me to take responsibility.”
On Zaniolo Petrachi said, “I think Zaniolo feels at home at Roma, but I don’t know if the boy or the club have differing ideas.”
“I think he is an important player, I hope he will be back at 100% this coming season. To have players like him gives you an immediate advantage. If I were Roma, I would keep him for life.”
