Edin Dzeko’s future remains one of the biggest talking points at Roma as the Bosnian is being courted heavily by Juventus and manager Andrea Pirlo.
Today, former Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini, who is currently a director at Bologna, was asked about the Bosnian, who he brought to the Giallorossi in the summer of 2015 from Manchester City for a total of €15 million.
“Dzeko’s future? I hope he doesn’t leave Roma. As the captain, I wouldn’t do it,” said the 65 year-old to SportItalia.
“Pallotta? He didn’t fall in love with Roma or the city of Rome. You can’t work in football without love and passion. Football without true passion is impractical. Just look in recent months, football’s greatest agony has been the empty stadiums. Football without true passion is just Subbuteo“.
Roma are eager to keep Dzeko at the club, however, the strong interest from Juventus could tempt him to depart the Italian capital in the hopes of winning silverware with the Bianconeri.
