RomaPress – Roma defender Roger Ibañez was one of the standouts this evening during the Giallorossi’s 2-1 victory over Parma.

The young Brazilian, who joined the club in January, did not make a single appearance for Roma until after play resumed following the Coronavirus lay-off, but has thrived since earning consistent playing time.

The 21 year-old has featured in three of the Giallorossi’s last five matches and is proving to be a player with a lot of potential.

Following Roma’s victory, RomaPress spoke exclusively to Frederico Morães, the agent of the former Atalanta, to discuss his client’s recent performances under manager Paulo Fonseca.

What did you think of the performance of Ibañez this evening?
He did well against Parma, he had a good game and almost had a goal.

Do you think he just needed time to settle in?Yes. The same thing happened at Fluminense and also with the Brazil U-23 team. When he started to play, he earned his place.

He seems to do well in a three-man defence.
Believe me, he’s better with four. He’s doing good and improving.
