Exclusive, Ag. Linetty: “January? Anything can happen.”

RomaPress spoke exclusively today to Szymon Pacanowski, the agent of Sampdoria midfielder Karol Linetty, who has been heavily linked with a potential January move to Roma:

Many clubs seem to be interested in Linetty. Have you held any transfer talks with Sampdoria?
Not official, no. Now is not the right time to speak about this. Karol is very happy in Sampdoria and is very pleased to be playing so many matches. It’s normal that many clubs would be interested in Karol but we are not thinking about this. Anything can happen in football but, for now, this isn’t anything we are thinking about. But again, things in football change quickly.

What about Roma? There have been many rumors. Has anyone from the club spoken to you about Linetty?
No, they haven’t. Many clubs have their eye on Karol but he is concentrated on doing well for Sampdoria. There is a big match against Sassuolo so that is where his head is.

Giampaolo seems to have given him a lot of trust: Linetty seems to have adapted well.
Yes, the coach is very good and has given Karol lots of time, he has played 12 matches. He is a quick learner and is learning about tactics, but he must continue to improve. He is doing well.

Roma, like Sampdoria, have fiery fans. Has he been dealing with the atmosphere well?
Yes, as you know, Karol came from Lech Poznań in Poland, where there are also fiery fans. Karol likes being in Genoa and enjoys playing for Giampaolo.
