RomaPress – Roma and Leeds United are close to finalising two transfer deals for central defender Diego Llorente and right back Rasmus Kristensen, both of which could be completed by tonight.
After initially arriving in January, Llorente did well during his stint in the Italian capital and advised his agent, Gelu Rodriguez, to find a way to extend his time with the Giallorossi once the season was completed.
Rodriguez opened talks with the English side two weeks ago after their relegation was confirmed. The club quickly agreed to let Llorente rejoin the Giallorossi on an initial loan deal. He’s scheduled to meet with Leeds’ management again this evening to hopefully finalise the defender’s return to Roma.
“We’re still talking,” Rodriguez said exclusively to RomaPress. “Hopefully I can make his (Llorente) return happen, let’s see.”
