(Exclusive – RomaPress): Héctor Herrera of Porto has been one of the names most heavily linked with a potential January move to Roma. The Mexican international’s contract with Porto will expire in June and he will able to join the club of his choice for free, though, it’s possible that he could leave the Portuguese side early in January for a fee.
As learned by RomaPress, two members of the player’s entourage, Gabriel Moraes and Matias Bunge, have not had any contact with the Giallorossi since sporting director Ramon Monchi and Federico Balzaretti traveled to Portugal on 4 May and remained there until 6 May. Herrera was discussed during their time, however, between Porto’s asking price and the Mexican’s wage request: a potential deal was not feasible, which still remains the case today. A deal for Herrera is extremely difficult and becoming more unlikely.
