Exclusive, Ricci to Sassuolo in standby

Federico Ricci’s move to Sassuolo is in standby.

RomaPress spoke exclusively to the youngster’s agent, Franco Fatiga, who said: “We are waiting as the club’s continue to discuss the operation.”

However, RomaPress has learned that the delay in the operation between Roma and Sassuolo being finalized is due to the Giallorossi waiting to see if they can find a buyer for Juan Manuel Iturbe. One between Ricci and Iturbe will remain while the other will leave: due to Iturbe having higher wages and the chance to garner a larger transfer fee, the Giallorossi are waiting until the last second to try and offload Iturbe.

Meanwhile, the agreement between Roma and Sassuolo is already in place, the Giallorossi are putting the operation in “standby” to see if they can sell Juan Iturbe.
