RomaPress – Roma midfielder Jordan Veretout has dumped longtime agent Mario Giuffredi.

Multiple Italian colleagues of the Napoli-based agent informed RomaPress earlier today that he and the Frenchman severed ties following the close of the winter transfer window yesterday.

It’s a surprising development given Giuffredi had been engaged in contract renewal talks with the Giallorossi in recent weeks. However, no agreement was found between the parties.

The 29 year-old hasn’t divulged the reason behind his decision and it’s unknown if it’s tied to Giuffredi’s inability to reach an agreement on a new deal. As of today, Veretout hasn’t appointed a replacement.

The outspoken Giuffredi, the owner of M.A.R.A.T. Football Management, represented Veretout since the Frenchman’s move to Serie A in the summer of 2017.
