Former Napoli midfielder and ex-teammate of Paulo Dybala with the Argentine national team, Ezequiel Lavezzi was asked to comment on Dybala’s surprising switch to the Giallorossi.
Napoli were also in the race for the 28-year-old free agent. However, Dybala’s final decision steered him away from the Maradona Stadium in favor of the Olimpico and the Friedkins and Mourinho’s project.
“He will help raise the level of quality at Roma, there’s no doubting that,” Lavezzi told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I think what matters most is that now there’s a clear belief in the team. That’s important,” added the ex-Napoli man.
