RomaPress – Exclusive: Roma’s Ezequiel Ponce, who is on loan at AEK Athens, is enjoying a successful spell with the Greek side. The Argentine now has 9 goals to his name in 14 matches after having scored a brace yesterday during his side’s hammering of PAS Giannina. His performances this season have seen him draw interest throughout Europe and even America for his services.
According to sources, Ponce has caught the eyes of multiple French and Spanish clubs, two countries where he’s spent time on loan in the past, as well as multiple MLS sides. Those close to Ponce claim, though, that his first priority is to stay in Europe with the hopes of winning a place in the senior side of the Argentina national team. Athens do have an option to buy the player for an additional €6 million but it remains to be seen if they will activate this option.
