Former Roma manager Fabio Capello spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport ahead of Roma’s big match against Milan.
Capello was asked about Mourinho’s tenure so far and the requirements for the January transfer window deemed necessary to reinforce the squad mid-season.
“Mourinho needs time, he cannot work miracles,” he said.
“Evidently, if he’s asking for certain players in January then it means that the current roster is just not up to it.”
He concluded, “In order to validly criticize Mourinho’s work, one should wait at least until next season to do so.”
