Fabio Capello questions Mourinho’s decision making in Napoli loss

Andy Mattioli

Former Roma manager Fabio Capello was critical of Jose Mourinho’s decision to replace Tammy Abraham in the second half, which – in Capello’s opinion – gave Napoli more control of the game and allowed Spalletti’s side to take home the three points.

“Abraham was creating a lot of problems for the opponent and keeping Napoli’s midfield and defense busy all on his own,” Capello said in the post match commentary for Sky Sport.

“I honestly would not have taken him off because in fact, once substituted, Napoli found themselves with far fewer problems back there and could think more about attacking Roma.”
