Fabio Capello discusses Dybala and Tammy Abraham’s future partnership

Andy Mattioli

Former Roma manager Fabio Capello is one of the many professionals involved in the world of football who can’t help but think of the potential Paulo Dybala and Tammy Abraham’s partnership at Roma holds.

Capello gave a lengthy interview where he discussed Roma’s attacking options, “Roma’s attack is perhaps the most intriguing, because we are faced with a project that could change the hierarchies among the great Serie A teams.”

“Roma have become a very important competitor, they have moved very well on the market. Everything is inspired by the deal involving Paulo Dybala, which could lead to the leap in quality that everyone expects from Roma.”

“The Giallorossi can take advantage of an already valid backbone, they do not start from scratch. Let’s take Abraham for example – a modern striker who has grown a lot in Italy. The Englishman is a generous, instinctive striker who has the courage to try plays that others don’t even dare to imagine.”

“Now Mourinho wants Dybala to play alongside of him, someone who can always come up with something brilliant and inventive in the last third of the pitch, the classic man who makes the final pass.”

“For someone already enterprising like Abraham it will be a huge help. And so Mourinho will have more options up front. Let’s try to line up Abraham and Dybala as starters, then let’s think: Pellegrini can’t help but play, for depth and personality.”

“And if Zaniolo understands what he has to do, he deserves a place, too. There is therefore an attacking abundance among the Giallorossi: compared to their rivals, they have the most inventiveness of all at their disposal. In terms of quality and imagination, Roma can certainly be compared to the new Juve.”
