Former Roma and Juventus manager Fabio Capello was asked about the recent outcome of the clash at the Stadio Olimpico that saw Mourinho’s men beat the Bianconeri 1-0.
“I really liked the match,” Capello told Corriere dello Sport. “Although let’s be honest, it was decided by a lucky shot. A beautiful goal, sure, but a lucky shot nonetheless.”
“The fair result would have been a draw,” Capello added.
“Derby della Capitale? Â I put both teams on equal footing. Roma are a very tough nut to crack, they bite you, they’re relentless. Lazio are tactically flawless.”
“Right now the strength of both teams is their defense. Rome and Lazio defend better than the Northern clubs and I still think this is the right way to go to the Champions League.”
