Fabio Capello: “I’m an admirer of Zaniolo”.

Former Roma boss and current Sky Sport pundit Fabio Capello has returned to talking about Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo.

The Italian drew heavy criticism last week after he said to Inter attacker Sebastiano Esposito, “Don’t follow in Zaniolo’s footsteps”. Capello appeared on Radio Uno today and discussed the Roma’s young talent and also talked about the Giallorossi’s current good run of form.

“I’m an admirer of Zaniolo. He’s perhaps the greatest young talent we have in Italy,” he claimed. “Perhaps I forgot to mention Kean’s name when I said those words. I’ve had young players who lost their way – just look at Cassano”.

“Roma have quality players such as Dzeko and Kolarov and they made an excellent purchase in Smalling. Roma have worked on the mental portion of things and when a team follows the manager and everyone puts forth effort, results are achieved”.
