Former Giallorossi manager Fabio Capello continues to insist that Roma should be regarded as one of the league’s top Scudetto contenders this season.
The Italian technician has repeatedly praised the club’s transfer business over the course of the summer, and once again reiterated his belief in the team’s capabilities in a recent interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Having only spent €7-8 million, Roma’s transfer window was worthy of a team aiming for the Scudetto, perhaps only behind Juve,” Capello told the Italian newspaper.
“Dybala was exactly what Roma needed, remarkable job by Mourinho to convince him to come to the capital.”
“Too bad about Wijnaldum’s injury, but Matic will be an important addition. Finally, Belotti is a luxury back-up to Tammy Abraham,” he concluded.
