Former Roma manager Fabio Capello analyzed the Giallorossi’s season so far as they prepare to face Bologna in the first matchday after international break.
The Italian technician spoke in favor of Mourinho’s chances going forward with the return of Paulo Dybala and Gini Wijnaldum.
“It’s quite obvious what I think: quality makes the difference,” Capello said in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport. “For now, Mourinho has been unlucky in his second season at Roma due to Wijnaldum’s absence, and Dybala’s injuries, too, for that matter.”
“With them back, it’s a whole other discussion: the team can immediately compete for top of the league,” he added.
“Disappointment? I think it’s only natural that fans were expecting more from the team after the Conference League win.”
