Former Roma boss Fabio Capello had high praise for Daniele De Rossi in the aftermath of the Giallorossi’s win over Milan at San Siro on Thursday night.
In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Capello underlined the qualities he appreciates most in De Rossi’s skillset as head coach.
“De Rossi was a magnificent footballer with superior tactical intelligence and I’m not surprised that today he is having these results as a manager,” said Capello.
“What I like most about him as a coach? His pragmatism. His Roma are very much engaged on a number of fronts during each game, like the other day against Milan. They were focused on winning all the duels.”
“And then you can see that, in addition to being very smart tactically, he is someone who studies. You could tell he knew exactly how to face Milan because he’d studied them very carefully.”
